Leaders

The entire team at Warspite is comprised of volunteers. There are Section Assistants and Assistant Section Leaders, who support the weekly musters of the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Each of these teams is led by a Section Leader, who in turn are supported by the Group Scout Leader. The team also includes volunteer Trustees, fundraisers, the Active Support Unit (ASU) and the Young Leaders.

All volunteers undergo a DBS check and safeguardinging training, as well as Scout Association training. Those who have completed all the training for their role are awarded a “Wood Badge”.

Many of our volunteers also hold National Governing Body qualifications in canoeing, rowing, sailing and powerboating. We also have a number who are coaches in these disciplines.
