Scouts

The Scout Section is open to boys and girls aged from 10 to 14, we meet on a Friday night. During the winter months meetings are at Fancourt Hall in Stoneleigh and during the summer months we meet at our Water Activity Centre in Thames Ditton. On the water, we run an active and varied program including rowing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and Powerboating. During the winter months, whilst not on the water, the Scouts’ activities are based upon having a balanced program. This includes games, cooking, badgework, team building, leadership training, hikes, wide games, first aid, nautical theory and much more.

Whilst many of these activities are based around preparing for our time on the water, lots of them are simply based on having fun and making friends

Each Summer features a week long camp either in the UK, or with our Dutch sister group in Bergen-Op-Zoom in Holland. Recent destinations have included Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire. We also have the opportunity for weekends away during the year.
